a-ha

Stian Andersen photographs 1994 – 2010

An intimate portrait of pop pioneers a-ha shot over a period of 15 years, as seen through the lens of Norway's foremost rock photographer, Stian N.

Stian Andersen is the only photographer who has followed the band this intimate and close. From 1994 and right up until the 2010 farewell tour, he has been closer to the band and the boys than anyone else before him – on trips, in cars, at hotels, in practice sessions, backstage – and has been the only photographer ever to take pictures of them in a recording studio.

Stian Andersen, Turboneger

Turboneger is a Norwegian rock band known for their flamboyant style, catchy riffs, dark humor, and outragous live shows. Formed in Oslo in 1989, the band blends elements of punk, hard rock, and glam into a genre they famously dubbed deathpunk and has since built a global cult following, especially after the release of their breakthrough album Apocalypse Dudes (1998).
Photographer Stian Andersen followed the band through highs and lows, break-ups and reunions almost from the very beginning. This book is a collection of pictures from the years 1993 – 2009.
